Competing (Juniors)
Camberley & District Athletic Club competes throughout the year in a number of athletics meetings. The competitive meetings put into practice all the hard work and training that the athletes have achieved throughout the year. Each athlete will have their own personal aims at each meeting, which will have been previously discussed with their coach. They may be attempting a personal best, a graded time or even a medal position.

As well as personal goals each athlete is competing as a representative of the Club and many of the meetings are league meetings where the club strives to be the best club in the league. It is therefore important that all athletes attend as many competitive meetings as possible. A good turnout at all the league meetings can make a huge difference in the Club's finishing position in the league.

Meetings
Meetings are held at various venues - see club fixture list. It is parents responsibility to ensure their child is at the event a minimum of an hour before their first race or field event, ensuring adequate warm up time and mental preparation time for the race. Warming up is an essential prerequisite of any event and gives the athlete an opportunity to give their best and, most importantly, to avoid injury.

For longer journeys we encourage parents to lift share so please do ask around.
